THE JOURNEYS BEHIND THE PHOTOGRAPHS

Some of my favorite photographs begin long before the camera comes out — in the planning, the travel, the unexpected light, and the quiet moments that make a place memorable. This page shares recent journeys, upcoming destinations, and the stories behind the collections.

MOST RECENT ADVENTURE

South Carolina

LOWCOUNTRY LIGHT & SOUTHERN HISTORY

From the moss-draped oak plantations outside Charleston to the massive branches of the Angel Oak Tree, South Carolina offered a landscape filled with atmosphere, history, and quiet Southern beauty. Early mornings along the coast and warm evening light through the live oaks created some of my favorite moments of the trip.

Charleston itself blended historic architecture, coastal charm, and timeless streets that seemed made for photography. The combination of natural beauty and preserved history made this journey one I will never forget.

MY NEXT ADVENTURE

THE FLATIRON BUILDING

ICONIC ARCHITECTURE & CITY LIGHT

Years ago, I photographed the Flatiron Building standing proudly above the streets of Manhattan — one of New York City’s most recognizable architectural landmarks. Since then, the historic building has spent years hidden behind scaffolding and restoration work, temporarily disappearing from the skyline that made it famous.

Soon, the renovation will finally be complete, revealing a restored Flatiron Building illuminated once again against the New York night. I plan to return to Manhattan when the project is finished to photograph this iconic structure in its renewed form — capturing both the history of the building and the excitement surrounding its long-awaited unveiling.
